OVERVIEW
|
The RT Logic Telemetrix® product line includes a sophisticated modular Satellite Link
Simulation system supporting a broad range of operational, test, and training applications.
Telemetrix baseline configurations include among others, the T400CS IF/RF Channel
Simulator, the T400SE IF/RF Signal Emulator and the T400MSP IF/RF Modular Signal Processor discussed here.

POWERFUL VECTOR SIGNAL GENERATOR
|
The T400MSP includes a powerful Vector Signal Generator (VSG) capable of producing up to eight fully-independent
signals on a single output channel for high-accuracy transponder simulation.
The VSG produces waveforms such as BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK, 8PSK, MSK, FSK, AM, FM, and CW with fully adjustable data rates and amplitudes.

SOPHISTICATED CHANNEL SIMULATOR
|
The T400MSP’s Channel Simulator statically or dynamically applies range delay, Doppler, attenuation and additive
white Gaussian noise (AWGN) for full simulation of LEO, MEO, HEO and GEO satellites, as well as aircraft, UAV and missile channel propagation effects.
Rician, Rayleigh, atmospheric, rain, and user-defined fading models can be applied.
All channel simulator functions are accomplished in smooth, phase-continuous manner.
Control of the channel simulator is provided by RT Logic software, Analytical Graphics, Inc.’s STK software, or ASCII commands over a LAN connection.
Under STK control, the T400CS produces actual IF/RF signals with the exact Doppler shift, range delay, attenuation and AWGN behavior for any scenario.
STK also provides intuitive, quick and visual development of communication link scenarios, without requiring user expertise in channel models, multipath,
propagation effects, or orbital science.

ADVANCED SPECTRUM AND INTERFACE ANALYZER
|
The T400MSP’s Spectrum Analyzer provides complete signal analysis capability.
Advanced demodulation capabilities include dynamic constellation diagrams and C/No, Eb/No, BER, C/I metrics.
Sophisticated interference analysis processing allows identification and study of jammer, covert or unintentional interference sources and their impacts on the desired
signal. Carrier-under-carrier detection supports study of signals that may appear intentionally or unintentionally beneath the main signal.

APPLICATION
|
A specific collection of Telemetrix components, the T400MSP Modular Signal Processor
is a cost-effective, all-in-one system for classroom teaching and hands-on laboratory work in digital communications, satellite
operations, electronic warfare, defensive counter-space and communications interference management.
The standard T400MSP system is architected as shown below, and is implemented with a series of compact PCI (cPCI) modules controlled
by a cPCI CPU running Microsoft® Windows XP Professional®. The system is remotely accessible and controllable over standard LAN connections.

EXPANDABILITY
|
The standard T400MSP can be expanded to include IF/RF inputs and outputs (Ku, X, C, S, L, etc.) additional Vector Signal Generators, more
Channel Simulators, signal conditioning, digital I/O and specialized software, firmware and/or hardware.
