TELEMETRIX 400 FREQUENCY CONVERSION SYSTEM (T400FC)

OVERVIEW
The Telemetrix® 400 Frequency Conversion System (T400FC) is a modular frequency conversion solution designed for applications where availability, size/weight, power, and life-cycle cost are critical. It performs multichannel frequency up/downconversion at L-, S-, C-, X-, Ku-, and Ka-bands with L-band, UHF, and 70 MHz Intermediate Frequencies (IFs).

The T400FC is available in multiple packaging options including 1U, 2U, and 5U rack-mount chassis.


APPLICATION
The T400FC employs interchangeable, hot-swappable modules enabling field reconfiguration and maintenance without link downtime. The unit can be quickly reconfigured with different combinations of upconverters, downconverters, and frequency bands on-the-fly with minimally experienced personnel.

Significant life-cycle cost savings are achieved by separating the power supply modules (inexpensive, but higher failure rate) from the converter modules (more expensive, but lower failure rate). Additionally, the Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) are at the module-level rather than the chassis-level, further lowering operational costs by reducing the number of chassis that are spared.

The T400FC is populated with the combination of individual up/downconverter modules selected specifically for the application. The chassis is controlled via RS-485 or Ethernet for remote control/status. For local control/status, a Personal Computer (PC) module provides Graphical User Interface (GUI) control, as well as handling additional ancillary applications. The following features are optional: Digital Spectrum Analysis (DSA), Modulated Signal Generator, Satellite Channel Simulator, and RF-over-fiber.

The T400FC is completely modular and easily scalable, making it the perfect solution for your multiband/multichannel needs. Its compact size and weight make it particularly appealing for mobile applications.
