TELEMETRIX 400 CHANNEL SIMULATOR (T400CS)

OVERVIEW
The Telemetrix® Channel Simulator (T400CS) is a powerful, yet economical communications link simulator. The T400CS emulates the channel characteristics of a communications uplink/downlink propagation path. Time delay, Doppler, range attenuation, and fading are emulated in a smooth and phase-continuous manner. The T400CS provides Intermediate Frequency (IF) or Radio Frequency (RF) inputs/outputs at the standard frequency bands and requires no knowledge of the signal waveform.



APPLICATION
The T400CS supports channel effect emulation for training and test applications without requiring expensive satellite transponder bandwidth. The T400CS enables accurate and repeatable testing and verification of modern network management systems that depend on the round-trip time delays between earth terminals to operate correctly. The same channel response can be used repetitively while modifications are made to the modems and/or network management algorithms. Furthermore, the extremes of expected link conditions are easily emulated in a repeatable and consistent manner to enable performance evaluation of communication equipment.
