Software Engineering Intern--Summer '08
Summer '08 Computer Science/Engineering Intern Position in our northern Colorado Springs office. Assignment to include designing and developing an object-oriented test infrastructure for Linux and windows-based satellite communication equipment in Python, communicating via CORBA and/or TCP/IP. May also do development and maintenance of C++ and Java code for core products.
Requirements: U.S. Citizenship a Must. BSCS major, Junior/Senior/1st year Grad student. 1 year experience with C++, C; Java a plus (class project/intern work). 1 year experience with scripting languages (Python a big plus). Basic experience with Linux and Windows. Knowledge in SW development (design, development, debug). Knowledge in object-oreinted design.

Integration/Test Engineer
Provide support to projects, performing the integration and test of RTL products and systems. Develop test procedures, design test configurations, and develop test-related software for projects in RF/communications, digital/networking, and/or measurement instrumentation. Perform dry-runs of test procedures, work closely with the project development team to identify and resolve problems, conduct formal acceptance tests, and perform regression testing. Provide post-delivery support to customers as needed.
BS and 1-3 years related experience, or AS Electrical Engineering Technology and 7+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in DSP/satellite related industry preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills required.

Shipping & Logistics Assistant (Temporary)
Take charge of shipping and also provide team support as needed in Receiving and Customer/Vendor RMA tracking. Apply knowledge of regulations related to inbound and outbound freight, international transportation, packaging, shipping/dock procedures.
Three to five years experience shipping technical equipment, preferably in a DOD environment. Experience with some or all of the following: international import/export duties, customs and customs brokerage firms, and government/commercial shipping documents. Some college preferred. Experience with UID labeling, forklift driving, and ability to lift 40+ lbs. objects a plus.

Integration Technician (Temporary: May-August)
Assemble chassis, fabricate cables, and dress racks. Working from schematics, engineering drawings, written and verbal integration instructions, assemble and validate production hardware, conduct quality checks to ensure that built items meet requirements, and work with Sr. Integration Technicians to improve assembly efficiency.
Experience (2+ years) with rack integration, cable dressing, and assembly of components, working in an electronic/cable production environment. Detail oriented, organized, work well with small parts, perform repetitive tasks, and work well in a team environment. soldering experience and/or certification a plus.

Engineering Interns-Summer '08
Will be assigned to one or more projects involving Digital Signal Processing, Systems Integration, Graphical User Interfaces, C++ Application Software, and/or Device Drivers. May be involved in integration and testing, firmware, digital board design, signal distribution design, etc. depending upon prior coursework and experience.
BSEE/CS major, strong GPA; Second semester Junior, Senior, or first year graduate student; C++/Java experience (class project or intern work); Experience with lab equipment a plus (spectrum analyzer, o-scope, BERT); Comm theory, satellite communications coursework; Advanced digital, and/or DSP coursework a plus; Linux (or Unix) VHDL experience a plus

Application Software Engineer-Denver, 80112
Develop and manage Object-Oriented application software for our real-time, high-performance data processing, networking, and archiving products using Java and C++; experience with Rich Internet Application Development and SQL Database preferred. Can be new College graduation with interest in Satellite Communications Industry. Could start earlier if available.
BS EE/CS (MS preferred) and 0 - 2 years industry experience implementing Object-Oriented Web Based and / or traditional software applications (experience with School projects okay). Knowledge of Interprocessor Communications, Operating Systems Programming, Embedded Software, and I/O Bandwidth Management desired.

Sr. Embedded Software Engineer-Denver, 80112
Develop and manage Linux Device Drivers and Object-Oriented application software for our real-time, high-performance data processing, networking, and archiving products using C, C++, and Python software development tools; experience with IP Network programming strongly preferred.
Qualifications: BS EE/CS (MS preferred) and 8+ years in-depth knowledge of Interprocessor Communications, Operating Systems Programming, Embedded Software, and I/O Bandwidth Management. Satellite Communications experience preferred.

Embedded Software Engineer-SNT
Develop and manage software for real-time embedded systems used in Satellite Communications using C, C++, Java, Flash, LabVIEW and Teststand software development tools on Windows and Linux platforms; experience with IP Network programming.
Qualifications: BS EE/CS and 5+ years in-depth knowledge of Interprocessor Communications, Operating Systems Programming, Embedded Software, and I/O Bandwidth Management. Satellite Communications experience preferred.

RF Circuit Design Engineer
Design RF/microwave circuits and systems from UHF through K-band. Hands-on design experience of RF/microwave frequency synthesizers (PLL and DDS-based tuning) preferred. Responsibilities include RF circuit board design with packaged amplifiers, lumped and distributed element filters, and mixers. Experience desired with low phase noise, fast switching RF synthesizer design as well as high speed A/D converter and D/A converter circuits.
Qualifications: BSEE and/or MSEE and 2-5 years related experience. Knowledge of digital communication and/or signal processing techniques preferred. Experience with GENESYS or other RF design tools a plus. Due to the nature of our contracts, US Citizenship is required.
